Brent Lewis has dedicated his life to music and the study of tribal rhythms. His education has included in depth study with many drum masters including Master Professor Mr. Kwasi Badu of Ghana, Africa. Throughout Africa, Brent has learned about the roots of African music, tribal ceremonies and rhythms. His music takes ancestral rhythms from all over the world and combines them for a unique world beat.
"May all the tribes of the world unite and beat with the rhythm of oneheart."
In addition to performing with a long list of artists (Smokey Robinson, Grateful Dead, Joe Cocker, etc.) and performing on Oliver Stone’s JFK and three IMAX® scores, he has composed for the Australian Ballet. When not performing or recording, Brent can be found leading drum workshops that share his unique style of music and the magic of the drums.
