House of the Beloved CD by Maniko offers sacred vocals.
Well known in the world of Osho, the voice of Maniko has long been associated with ecstatic celebrations both in the US and in India. This is her latest release, and long overdue. In collaboration with producer Kit Walker of Deva Premal's Embrace and Love Is Space, and Jai Uttal's Mondo Rama, Maniko has pulled out all the stops.
Featuring original songs by the singer, House of the Beloved CD also includes the Sufi chant Ishq Allah, and the Indian traditional invocation of surrender to the master, the community, and the truth, Gauchchami, as well as a traditional Russian wedding song. Maniko is joined on back up vocals by Deva Premal and Miten, and instrumentally by Hans Christian, Manose, Kit Walker, Marquinho Brasil, Atmo, and Robert Powell
