Gold Professional Healer's Tingshas are 24 ct Gold Painted with 8 Auspicious Signs, hand made in Nepal and have long been used for meditation and ritual purposes by Buddhist monks, nuns, yogis and yoginis; today they are used by these and lay people alike in meditation, cleansing, healing, sound healing and alignment.
Ting-sha. These Gold Professional Healer's Tingshas (prayer chimes) are hand made in Patan outside of Kathmandu, Nepal. Healers in Nepal have used these particular tingshas. have been used for centuries by Tibetan Buddhists to prepare for meditation. When the two pieces strike each other they produce a clear, pure, cleansing sound which can be used to focus the mind before and after meditation. Tinghsas are also for clearing space of negative energies and the healing and balancing of auric fields. They are used in feng shui to ring in the four corners of a room in order to open the energy and for clearing spaces.
Tingshas come in matched pairs, held together by a leather cord. Simply hold each cymbal by the cord close to the hole where it enters the tingsha. Strike one cymbal against the other on their edges at right angles. Let the bell ring until there is silence. Strike the hand cymbals together and a beautiful, clear, high note will rise from them to hang in the air and create an extraordinary stillness. When they are suspended horizontally and struck together, a delightful, oscillating wave of sound seems to pass between them as they reverberate at a high frequency, creating an impressive symphony of haunting sounds. The scintillating tone of the ting-sha instantly strikes a resonance within the human heart.
Their purpose is to summon, and they call us to awareness, to remember who we are, and to recognize our priorities in this often turbulent and illusive world. The distinguishing feature of ting-sha is that they are cast from bell metal, an amalgam of three to twelve metals, which produce the enduring and harmonic resonance.
