This highly treasured CD has finally been reissued from Boulder's Wind Over The Earth label, ending a long absence from the shelves which started when the title was deleted by Hearts of Space.
Often considered Darling's finest recording, Eight String Religion sounds better than ever, and has been repackaged with a beautiful digi-pak cover. Darling has always been considered one of the premier cellists in contemporary music, and in his hands, the instrument rises and falls, meeting in gentle crescendos that can evoke strong feelings and emotions.
Co-producer Mickey Houlihan worked closely with Darling, both in the original recordings from 1993 and the reissue process. Plaintive, inspired, flowing - they all apply to this tribute to the beauty of life and nature.
